When the San Francisco Dogfish face the Seattle Rainmakers at Kezar Stadium on Saturday evening they will have their not-so-secret weapon on hand—the fans.

The first time the two teams met back in May it was on this field. Although the Dogfish were down by five points at halftime, they rallied in the second half to a two-point victory. With matching 6-1 records and spots in the playoffs confirmed, the Dogfish and Rainmakers’ matchup this weekend is a preview of the MLU Western Conference playoffs.

To show their gratitude for the consistently large crowds this season and all of the cheering, chanting, bubble-blowing, and big-hand waving from fans that has helped bring them to this point, the Dogfish have designated Saturday Fan Appreciation Night.

In addition to the usual group discounts, the Dogfish are offering a limited-time 7 on the Line ticket package which includes 3 Dogfish Dollars for each person in the group to use at the concession or merchandise stands. Buy your tickets today so you can bring family, friends, co-workers, and teammates along for the fun.

Ultimate players who are used to disc events operating on a delayed schedule, take note. Raffle prizes will be given away throughout the evening, including Dogfish gear and tickets for the western conference playoff game. Additionally, one lucky fan will get a chance at a cash prize and season tickets for 2014.

This year’s season ticket holders will receive 5 raffle tickets, the first 100 fans in the door will receive 3 raffle tickets each, the next 100 will receive 2 raffle tickets each, and the next 100 fans and any groups will receive 1 raffle ticket per person. Fans who buy regular Dogfish merchandise will receive one raffle ticket for each $10 they spend, and fans who purchase mini discs for the disc toss competition will get 7 discs and 2 raffle tickets for $5.

As usual, the Dogfish are looking out for their youngest fans. Children will get a Dogfish sticker when they enter, and kids of all ages can get their faces painted to show their team spirit. There will also be a Dogfish Fan Mini-Olympiad Halftime Competition. Team and individual games will narrow down the field, but all who play get a chance at more prizes.

This is the last home game of the regular season, and the players are looking forward to seeing a stadium full of friendly faces. Show up early with your Dogfish spirit on full display. The game starts at 7 pm and entry is through the west gate (opposite side from the parking lot).

See you in the stands!
