San Francisco announced that they have signed Nick Weiss for the 2015 season.

Weiss was promoted quickly from practice player to roster regular in 2014. Even in the face of tremendous pressure for the Dogfish to reclaim their 2013 Western Conference title, Weiss demonstrated an unflappable style that was key to continuity in the team’s offensive plays.

“Nick is a workhorse who eats up huge chunks of yardage on our O-line,” said Head Coach Justin Safdie.

Last season Weiss, who co-manages a gym in Palo Alto, devised a workout program for the team to minimize injuries and measure their peak fitness. That commitment, combined with his 97 percent throwing completion rate, will be a boon to the team this season as well.

“I’m delighted to be able to play another season with the Fish,” said Weiss. “I’m looking forward to putting in the hard work and dedication it takes to get us back to the top of the MLU.”
