Overview: Reporting to the VP of Operations, Operations Managers in each market will manage and oversee logistical operations for each market. Including front-of-house operations at games and organization/communication for players and coaches. Responsibilities:

  • Help plan and manage the logistics for team events.
  • Assist coaches and players in the process of running the team.
  • Communicate with the VP of Operations on a regular basis to discuss any ideas, issues, or problems that come up over the course of the season.
  • Advise the VP of Operations and Company Management in decision making regarding their specific market.
  • Manage and oversee the setup and operation of the “front-of-the-house” on game day, including ticket sales, merchandise sales, and concessions.
  • Assist in finding event employees for these positions.
  • Work closely with In-Market Event Coordinators to provide logistical support when necessary.
  • Hiring event employees such as a ticket manager, merchandise manager, and finding volunteers.
  • Help promote the the team and the MLU through grassroots efforts.


  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must hold be a high school graduate.
  • Must have completed 1+ years of college/university.
  • Must live in designated city or surrounding metropolitan area.
  • Must have reliable method of transportation.
  • Experience in event planning and or management.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the sport of ultimate  is preferred but not required.

Overview: As an Event Coordinator you will be expected to be at every home game ready to run the show. It is the Event Coordinator’s job to ensure the game runs smoothly and that fans stay engaged and entertained. There will be a detailed game day script Event Coordinators are expected to follow and preparations that must be made before each event. Event Coordinators will be asked to work both independently and collaboratively with other game day staff, coaches, players and fans. A positive attitude and upbeat personality is ideal for this position as well as a hard worker and multitasker. Event Coordinators must be at all home games and willing to dedicate 10-15 hours a work week. All Event Coordinators report to Major League Ultimate’s Event Manager and will be trained. Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare materials for every home game
  • Event Coordinators must be diligent to insure all sponsorship signs and field features remain visible during the game
  • Execute game day script and ensure all events and entertainment run smoothly
  • Hiring game day staff and National Anthem singer
  • Manage and oversee all volunteers, game day staff, and entertainment contractors on game day
  • Organize and prepare all volunteers, staff, and contractors for the event in accordance with the game day script


  • Must be 18 years or older

Major League Ultimate is seeking on-air talent for their live-streamed ultimate frisbee games. The League is looking for play-by-play and color commentators with broadcast experience. A working knowledge of the game of ultimate is preferred, but in the case of play-by-play applicants, not required.

Applicants must be available for all five home games, between April and June, in Berkeley at Berkeley High School stadium. Pre-production and production will run 4-5 hours and broadcast talent should expect to be present throughout.
On-Air talent will be responsible for:
  • Preparing for each game by reviewing rosters, scripts and notes provided by the league.
  • Conducting pre-game interviews as requested by the league.
  • Assisting the production operator in the setup and testing of live stream equipment.
  • Calling the game including game action, commentary, sponsor reads and league news.
  • Conducting post-game interviews as requested by the league.
  • Day-rate compensation will be based on experience.

Statisticians are responsible for accurately entering live statistics into the MLU statistical database during home games. Reporting to the league’s Statistical Research & Analysis Coordinator to assure statistics accuracy after games completion. This is a paid position, use of a personal laptop computer is required. JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Keep live statistics during all in-market home games.
  • Accurately record multiple data points.
  • Work in tandem with Statistics Coordinator during lead up to games and at the end of game-day.
  • Hours: Arrive 1 hour before first pull. Commitment runs through end of game.

The Dogfish will need the help of various volunteers for the preseason, season and post-season. If you are interested in working with the Dogfish and getting an up close and personal experience with the team, consider applying.

  • Film Staff: Film staff assists with the filming of all Dogfish games and team events.
  • Gameday Staff: Game Day Staff assists the management staff in running the game-day operations.
  • Graphic Design Staff: Graphic Design Staff is responsible for assisting the design team with the graphics requirements of the Dogfish’s website and other media.
  • Management Staff: Management Staff assists the management staff with the day-to-day responsibilities of running and supporting the Dogfish.
  • Social Media Staff: Social Media Staff is responsible for helping the team’s Content Manager with all Dogfish social media accounts during the game.
  • Writing Staff: Writing Staff is responsible for writing articles about the team, as well as previews and recaps of each game, which will then be published on the Dogfish website.
