San Francisco announced that they have signed James Sheridan for the 2015 season.

Sheridan was new to the Dogfish in 2014 and worked as a cutter on the defensive squad. A shoulder injury sidelined him for a few games during the first half of the season, but he rallied back.

“James Sheridan is a tireless workhorse and we expect him to have a breakout season in his second with the Dogfish,” said Dogfish Assistant Coach Matt Ruby.

The team recently announced their move to Yellowjacket Stadium on the campus of Berkeley High School. The territory is familiar to Sheridan, who is one of the head coaches for Berkeley High School’s ultimate team.

“I’m excited to return to the Dogfish,” said Sheridan. “I am especially excited to see the partnership between the Dogfish and Berkeley High. I see a real need for the growth and support of youth ultimate, and look forward to a growing cooperation between the two programs.”

Coach James has been a real asset to the Berkeley High Ultimate program and glad that he and the SF Dogfish will be playing on his home turf. It might be the first time some of the BHS players can actually see James in “full flight.”
