The San Francisco Dogfish announced that they have signed offensive cutter Jackson Stearns for the 2015 season.
From the outset last year, Stearns was an unmistakable presence on the field. He proved himself to be a reliable target for his teammates with a steady disc hand.
In his rookie year with the Dogfish Stearns tied for fifth in overall points for the team with 16 points on nine goals and seven assists.
“Jackson is a force in the air, and brings a great team-first attitude to our squad that is contagious,” said Dogfish Head Coach Justin Safdie.
At 6-foot-4, Stearns is also a formidable defender. He was third on the Dogfish for defensive plays with eight.
“I’m extremely grateful, proud and excited about playing for the Dogfish again this year,” said Stearns. “I’m looking forward to getting better as a player and as a team, but I’m even more excited about creating a passionate ultimate fan base in Berkeley and spreading the word about our amazing sport.”
