Gary Dixon, who was on the San Francisco Dogfish practice squad for the 2013 season, has signed with the Dogfish for 2014.

“I’m really excited to be playing on this team,” said Dixon, “not just because we have a lot of great Ultimate talent, but also because I get to contribute again to this phenomenal Dogfish workforce.”

“Gary is a silent assassin,” said Dogfish Head Coach Justin Safdie. “His instincts and explosiveness make him a nightmare for opponents to account for and he causes turnovers left and right.”

In addition to getting more playing time with Drew Kim and Chris Hart, teammates from the Bay Area open team Boost Mobile, Dixon is excited to work with the Dogfish coaches and staff.

“I believe in Woody [General Manager Chris Sherwood] and what he’s trying to accomplish with this sport,” said Dixon. “And don’t get me started on [team trainer] Molica, she’s a gem. Overall, this is going to be a crazy fun team, and I know the fans are going to see that and enjoy the season along with us.”
