Nearly 100 Dogfish and flashmob fans descended on Yerba Buena Gardens in downtown San Francisco last night for a choreographed routine to Pharrell’s hit song, “Happy.”

The evening began with Dogfish players casually tossing discs before breaking into a dance with  Bay Area Ultimate personality Jenny “JTall” O’Connell for the first verse. Then not-so-innocent bystanders joined in while the remaining crowd members looked on in amusement or confusion.

ABC7 News was on hand to film the event and reporter Alan Wang posted a photo on his Twitter page. You can watch the video here.

Players, staff and fans distributed t-shirts, bumper stickers and postcards promoting tomorrow’s game against the Stags both before and after the performance.

The fun began back at the Dogfish season opener on April 12, when O’Connell got the stadium on its feet at halftime and walked the crowd through the steps. Dogfish social media sites linked to her instructional video on YouTube so fans could practice their moves, while FunCheapSF and RadioAlice also promoted the flashmob on their sites.

If you couldn’t make it last night, show your support on Saturday. The game starts at 2 p.m. at Boxer Stadium and you can buy tickets here.

Also, be sure to like the Dogfish on Facebook and follow them on Twitter to stay in the loop for future fan events!
