The Dogfish announced today they have re-signed Mac Taylor to the roster for the 2014 season.
At 6-foot-3, “Big Mac” is an imposing physical presence before he even touches the disc. He was one of the top Dogfish point scorers last season with 30 points (6 G, 24 A), and the team is looking to him to continue to be a force on offense.
“Mac Taylor is the type of keystone player you can build a team around,” said Dogfish Head Coach Justin Safdie. “He is hands down the best player in the league, and I am ecstatic to have him back for another season.”
Taylor was also one of the top defenders for the Dogfish last season with 11 defensive plays, third on the team.
“He will shut down the best cutters in the game and create a match-up nightmare for any team in the country,” said Safdie. “On top of his Ultimate skills, he is a born leader and sets a great example for his teammates to emulate.”
Taylor will be key to San Francisco’s journey to remain the Western Conference champions and fight for the 2014 MLU Championship title.
