The San Francisco Dogfish have announced the release of Evan Boucher from the team.

Boucher was one of four players on the 2015 roster who had played with the team since its inception. He was selected as team MVP for 2013 and served as team captain in 2014.

“Evan is a talented ultimate player, however, he was not in agreement with the direction in which the team needed to move,” said Dogfish Head Coach Justin Safdie. “We made multiple attempts to reconcile our differences, but in the end the best decision was to part ways.”

While the decision may leave some San Francisco fans in straits, the Dogfish will adjust accordingly.

“We have an incredible roster of players, a great coaching lineup and a fantastic fan base,” said Dogfish General Manager Rusty May. “Our goal is to continue the evolution of this team to provide the best experience for everyone involved.”
