San Francisco announced they have signed Chris McCarty for the 2015 season.

McCarty was a defensive cutter last season, and ended the year just behind the second-place tie between Jackson Stearns and 2014 team captain Evan Boucher for defensive plays.

“It’s great to be back for another year!” said McCarty. “I’m looking forward to improving upon last year and doing some great things with the rest of my team. And to get some D’s!”

McCarty’s strong presence on the field springs from the training ground of Stanford’s Bloodthirsty squad and the Bay Area’s Boost club-level open ultimate.

“I’m very happy to have Chris back on board for 2015,” said Dogfish Head Coach Justin Safdie. “Chris excels in all facets of the game.  He has great field sense and I feel comfortable putting him out there in just about any role.”
